In 2019, Hulu proudly unfurled the banner of its “Pride Never Stops” initiative, a vibrant mosaic of voices from the LGBTQIA+ community, brought together in a continuous celebration of their journeys and stories. This initiative exemplifies Hulu’s unwavering commitment to honoring these narratives and making them accessible to audiences worldwide.
In a landmark move in 2022, the beating hearts and jubilant voices of the Los Angeles and New York City Pride marches resonated within the homes of Hulu subscribers. Live-streaming these marches meant bringing the essence of these celebrations directly to the people. Taking another stride forward this year, Hulu adds the pride marches from Houston, Chicago, and San Francisco to its live content lineup. These five marches, a rainbow-hued tapestry of human spirit, will be unveiled on Hulu’s “Pride Never Stops” hub.
The Los Angeles Pride Parade, returning for its 53rd edition on June 11, will be streamed live from the beating heart of Hollywood. This parade is a glorious kaleidoscope of marchers, floats, and surprise celebrity guests, expected to draw 150,000 spectators. Hosted by KABC’s Ellen Leyva, Karl Schmid, Christiane Cordero, and Eric Resendiz, the event will be broadcast from 11am to 1pm PT.
On June 24, Houston Pride marks its 45th anniversary. A celebratory fiesta unfolds in Downtown Houston, capturing the hearts of 750,000 spectators. Illuminating the city’s diverse cultural tapestry, the parade features 150 dynamic entries. The hosts for this colorful event are ABC13 Houston’s Erica Simon, Mayra Moreno, Pooja Lodhia, and Bob Slovak, guiding viewers through the festivities from 7pm to 9pm CT.
Capping off the month on June 25, ABC News Live presents “Pride Across America,” an unparalleled streaming extravaganza hosted by Gio Benitez and Alex Perez. Witness the pride marches across New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, live from 11am to 4pm ET, in this national celebration of unity.
Beyond the live marches, the “Pride Never Stops” hub serves as a treasury of diverse, heartwarming, and engaging content. From Hulu’s original shows like “Drag Me To Dinner,” “Fire Island,” and “Love, Victor,” to library hits like “Pose,” and “Schitt’s Creek,” the collection is bound to engage, entertain, and inspire.
New additions include the flamboyantly entertaining “Drag Me to Dinner,” and the eagerly awaited sequel to the classic movie, “The Full Monty.” This joins a wealth of content that also features the final season of “Queen Sugar,” Season 3 of “Vida,” and the body painting competition, “Skin Wars.” Rounding off this collection are “Prayers for Bobby,” “Jagged Mind,” and “Linoleum.”
As Hulu’s “Pride Never Stops” campaign keeps lighting the beacon of unity and diversity, it invites you to partake in these shared stories. To our male readership, and all those beyond, we urge you to immerse yourself in this universe of stories. Stories that demonstrate the resilience and beauty of the human spirit, stories that deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
